What are the hardware requirements to run Horus-ERP?
Horus-ERP runs on our International Server Network and all you need to be able to access the application is a device (a notebook, a desktop PC, a Pocket PC* or even a smartphone*) with good and stable Internet connectivity.
*Horus-ERP for PocketPC / Smartphone / iPhone will be available in early 2010.

What are the software requirements?
HOorus-ERP is 100% web based and you will need Microsoft Internet Explorer version 7 or later to access it. Starting in early 2010, Horus-ERP will also be accessible from mobile devices with Windows Mobile 5.0 or later.
In order to be able to use all of its features, you should also install Java Runtime Machine, Adobe Flash Player and Adobe Reader.

How quickly can I start using the application?
After the signup process is completed, your dedicated Virtual Enterprise Server will be created in just a few minutes. Then, you'll instantly be able to explore the unique features of your brand new setup.

How long does the implementation of Horus-ERP take ?
The truth is there is no straight answer for this question. There are several theories and articles about successful ERP implementations. However, none of them have been proven. The implementation time depends, among others, on:
- The complexity of your organization. Specifically, whether it is a national or world wide corporation, the number of cultures to link, the number of different languages spoken in different locations of your organization, the accounting systems, the business profiles, etc;
- The type of project: Whether it's a brand new project or one with existing databases that need to be integrated into the new ERP. This makes a huge difference;
- The motivation and willingness of the people involved in such projects. The motivation of customer representatives is essential for success;
- The readiness to accept the change. Horus-ERP works with predefined rules which must be accepted. Once your company is set up to integrate Horus-ERP, you'll see increased organization on all levels.
Most importantly though, the implementation of Horus-ERP will depend on your staff's ability to understand, learn, and apply the concepts of the application. This entire process is under your full control, and your company is responsible for deciding the implementation path, monitoring progress, and finishing it in a timely manner.

Is it possible to import a MS-Project planning in Horus-ERP?
Unfortunately this feature is not available. However, you can create very smart GANTT planning templates directly in your Horus-ERP application and then re-use them whenever necessary, for other similar projects.

When travelling, can I access Horus-ERP on my Pocket PC?
Yes you can! Horus-ERP works perfectly on Smartphone or Pocket PCs, especially on those running Microsoft Windows Mobile 5 or 6.

What kind of operations can I perform from my Smartphone or pocket-PC?
You can perform most of the important operations, such as opening your agenda report, opening and editing actions, checking and replying to your messages and emails, checking and approving documents, and a variety of other tasks that you'll want to complete while you're on the move.

Does Horus-ERP help me organize my daily agenda?
Horus-ERP constantly gathers information from all of its modules and uses it to export relevant data to each user's individual work agendas. You must have the "Agenda" widget activated, and this will show you all the information you need: actions from Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) or Work Flow (WF), Human Resources planning, document planning, and all of your communication (letters, faxes, messages, and emails).

Where can I see my employment contract and payroll?
Horus-ERP allows you to set and plan individual Human Resources and Payroll accounts for each employee. The data is completely confidential and restricted only to the appropriate management. Under this account, you will have all payroll information, time sheet reports, and holiday planning information.

Can I delete information from Horus-ERP such as documents, tasks, etc.?
Yes. However, this is possible only if you have necessary rights assigned. Horus-ERP has a built-in versioning engine which can be used to create revisions for your documents (including simple messages and emails) and keep track of changes during the entire lifecycle. This protects your documents from accidental deletion or removal by other users.
