Resource Database Management
The Horus-ERP Resources Database Management module is designed to organize the various kinds of resources managed by your enterprise in a highly structured way. These resources can be from the production process, administration, purchasing or sales.
Data such as products, services, tools or materials that are stored in a relational database is constantly in use from the start to the finish of any document workflow or project planning process.
The import and continuous updating of RDB data brings about accurate cost planning, optimal vendor selection and timely order placement, all of which will produce huge cost savings and competitive advantages for your enterprise.
For this reason we believe it to be of the utmost importance to have a very well organized RDB based on ISO standards, or at least your own very well structured resource database.
Horus-ERP RDB is based on the European NACE International resources codes(see List of NACE codes).
Users can also decide to extend the NACE CODE breakdown by simply adding new resource categories.
You can also replace NACE with your own RDB code. Each RDB category type can store an unlimited number of suppliers together with related data and specifications. Inventory management functions can be used for all products and suppliers.
Horus-ERP RDB module has a wide range of functions as follows:
- General data - Product description, barcodes, suppliers, purchase and sale prices, the supplier's website link, terms and conditions, stock availability, shipping information, etc;
- Inventory data - Actual and available stock, warehouse location, costs, stock-in /-out planning, expected sales orders (stock out), expected orders (stock in), etc;
- Inventory history - Data about the stock history for the selected resources for a particular period of time;
- Combined resources - When you have complex resources that involve multiple service and labor processes, the Recipe module will allow you to prepare a breakdown cost calculation using standard RDB resources to obtain a realistic cost estimate for combined products / resources;
- Attachments - an unlimited number of files such as technical specifications, drawings, images, videos etc, can be stored as attachments to any resource
RDB data are used to create the costs/resource breakdown in WBS, DOCM, GANTT planning, WFM modules and also individual task actions.
